DaGwom Dachung Gyang was the first head of the Berom peoples who reigned over all the Berom districts (Bachit, Du, Fan, Foron, Gashish, Gyel, Heipang, Kuru, Ropp and Vwang) in Riyom from 1935 to 1941.
Bearing the royal title of DaGwom Berom, (King of one whole indissoluble Berom nation) it was the same traditional stool that will later with the sanctioning of the government of British Colonial Nigeria evolve into the modern Gbong Gwom Jos monarchical institution.[1]
