Christian M. Ringle is a professor of management and decision sciences at the Hamburg University of Technology (Germany),[1] adjunct research professor at the James Cook University (Australia) and a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley (USA).[2] He also holds the RHB–UKM Endowment Fund Distinguished Chair at the National University of Malaysia (UKM).[3] In his capacity as a university professor, Ringle serves as an advisor and liaison professor for the German-American Fulbright Commission at his institution[4] and as an advisor and liaison professor for students and scholarship holders of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.[5]

His research is focused on the areas of method development, business research methods to decision making, machine learning, business analytics, management, marketing, and technology and innovation management. He is managing director of SmartPLS, a statistical software.[2] Since 2018 he has been included in a list of highly cited researchers compiled by Clarivate Analytics.[6]
