Byrsax is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Tenebrionidae,[1] and the tribe Bolitophagini.[2]

The genus was first described in 1860 by Francis Polkinghorne Pascoe.[3][4] and the type species is Byrsax coenosus.[3]

Species of this genus are found in Australia, Indo-Malaya and the palearctic.[1]
