Bruno Powroznik (25 April 1962 – 9 March 2023) was a British man, who is known for his digital footprint on house price forums and several YouTube channels, all of which were terminated. Beginning in late 2019, reposts of his videos started gaining a cult following on social media, the most notorious being OBJECTS THAT I HAVE SHOVED UP MY ARSE.
Biography
On forums
Powroznik was from Essex, London. His digital footprint is traced back to 2004, where he repeatedly posted at the HousePriceCrash.com (HPC) forums, criticising the sell-to-rent (STR) scheme. Bruno repeatedly attacked STR users with online abuse catered towards them, forcing him to create his own websites, one of which was against STR Gavin Greenway.[1] This led to him creating a website, House Price Armageddon, in which he predicted that there would be a 70% crash in the price of housing in 2005 and that, in his own words, "it will all end up in tears", while describing the property market as a pyramid scheme.[2] He also launched other websites, including a website critical of Gavin Greenway, where he showed his desire for eating his liver and making a skin suit out of him.[1] Another website of his mentioned the cancellation of the house price crash, including allegations that "there is more chance of finding Elvis on the moon than a property crash occurring" and that "buying a home is still cheaper than renting", as well as self-made graphics repeating some of his ideas.[3]

Powroznik started uploading videos onto YouTube in 2008, usually following the same ideas as he did in the mid-2000s on HousePriceCrash, one of them involved a plan by him to bring an assault rifle to an HPC pub meeting and "give the STRs what they really deserve". He was subsequently arrested for this act and this led to an informal campaign begging for his release. Subsequently, he was discharged when the police thought to be an empty threat, and his first YouTube channel was terminated.[1] Other videos included allegations that the government was colluding with STRs and one where he said that "women prefer homeowners, not rent forever losers".[1]
Other videos of him featured non-STR topics such as his sexuality,[4] predictions for the price of commodities such as gold or conspiracy theories involving a Satanic takeover of Earth.[1] His YouTube career also tackled his sexuality. In WOMEN PREFER HOMEOWNERS, NOT RENT FOREVER LOSERS, he believed that STRs were not sexually attractive to women, and this included vaginal symptoms such as "penile dysfunction". In I AM HAVING TROUBLE CHATTING UP WOMEN, he shows his problems with engaging with people of the opposite sex, to an extent where he thinks that women are repugnant and they thought that he was a pervert. The video takes a turn halfway through, as he wanted a woman to do chores for him and "to have sex with", whose sexual undertones grew by the end of the video.[1]
Death
Powroznik died on 9 March 2023 at age 60; the death was only reported at the Official Gazette in January 2025, nearly two years later.[5]
Legacy
Most of Powroznik's videos were reuploaded several times starting in 2009 by users who had saved his work, such as David E. and Stunley Andwin, but its popularity didn't skyrocket until 2019, when a reupload of one of his videos, OBJECTS THAT I HAVE SHOVED UP MY ARSE, made it to YouTube's algorithms. These videos, made with Windows Movie Maker and labelled by the reuploaders under the "Bruno Powroznik Classic" tag, gained a cult following. A subreddit dedicated to Powroznik was also created, tracking down the latest known activity, as well as uncovering possible lost works.[1][6]
On 4 July 2025, two of his videos, Are You a Heterosexual? and BOOM AND BUST, appeared as part of the BFI-funded event Chronically Online: A Personal History of the UK Internet at the Rio Cinema in Dalston.[7]
