The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf's Revenge at RCDB

The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf's Revenge is an inverted roller coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. The coaster opened on May 23, 2025 and is the spiritual successor to the original Big Bad Wolf. It was designed by Swiss firm Bolliger and Mabillard and is the second model of its kind in the United States, with the first being Phoenix Rising at Busch Gardens Tampa. The coaster is 2,583 feet long (787 meters) and features two chain lift hills, with a maximum height of 67 feet (20 meters) and a maximum speed of 40 miles per hour (64 kilometers per hour). It was built on the site of Drachen Fire, which closed in 1998 and had been shut for many years.[2][3][4]

Ride experience

After leaving the station, the train takes a 180 degree before going up the chain lift. After reaching the top of the lift, the train dives down before dashing to the left and right and then going past some town buildings inside a German village. After going past the village, the train makes its way up the second and final lift hill before dropping down again while narrowly avoiding a wolf trap. The train turns around near an Oktoberfest celebration plaza with tables and beer mugs before doing another turn to the right and then into the brakes leading to the station where riders can exit to their right, thus ending the ride.
