Beyza Nur Akkuş (born 2007) is a Turkish freestyle wrestler competing in the 65 kg division. She is a member of Trabzon B.Ş.B.[1]

Career

Beyza Nur Akkuş won the silver medal in the women's freestyle 65 kg category at the 2024 U20 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain.[2]

Beyza Nur Akkuş became the European U17 champion at the 2024 European U17 & U20 Wrestling Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia, defeating Russian Daria Frolova, who participated in the tournament as an Independent Individual Athlete, in the final match. She also won a silver medal in the U20 category in the same tournament.[3]

She became the champion of Turkey by defeating Kadriye Aksoy in the women's freestyle 65 kg final match at the 2025 Turkish Wrestling Championship held in Ankara Keçiören Taha Akgül Sports Hall.[4] At the 2025 European U20 Wrestling Championships held in Caorle, Italy, Beyza Nur Akkuş won the gold medal in the women's 65 kg event. In the final, she defeated Russian wrestler Margarita Salnazarian to claim the title.[5] At the 2025 U20 World Wrestling Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria, Akkuş claimed the bronze medal in the women's 65 kg category. She defeated Mongolia's Narkhajid Nyamsuren 4–3 and Hungary's Viktoria Pupp by a 10–0 technical superiority. In the bronze medal match, she beat American Daniella Nugent also by a 10–0 technical superiority to secure third place.[6]
