Benjamin Seer (born 1991) is an Australian–German entrepreneur and marketing strategist. He is known for being the founder of multiple enterprises most notably Hummingbird Superfoods and evercleaner.
Early life and education
Benjamin Seer was born in 1991 and grew up in Australia and Germany.[1]
Seer was educated at Gymnasium Schloss Neubeuern in Bavaria, Germany.
He studied at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.[1]
Seer also studied Business Management at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (2012) and Entrepreneurship at The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business (2013).
Career
Early career
Seer began his career in 2014 at the meal-kit provider Marley Spoon in Berlin.[2] In 2015, he joined the startup Volo (later rebranded as Foodora) as one of its early employees, serving as City CEO for West Germany. Following Foodora's expansion, Seer relocated to Melbourne to lead the company's Australian division as CEO from 2015 to 2016.[3]
Hummingbird
In 2016, Seer founded Hummingbird Superfoods, a nutrition company specializing in plant-based "smoothie balls."[4]
He appeared on Shark Tank Australia in 2017 to pitch the business.[5] In 2019, the Bega Group acquired a minority stake in the company as part of its expansion into direct-to-consumer products.[6] Hummingbird was later sold in 2024.
evercleaner
Alongside Casper Rogalla, Seer founded the sustainable home care brand evercleaner in 2021.[1][7]
The business was ranked #35 in SmartCompany's Smart50 list[8] and was named a Telstra Best of Business Awards state finalist in the Promoting Sustainability category and a winner of the ProductReview.com.au Awards in 2024 and 2025.[9][10]
evercleaner was sold in 2025.
blitz and Conscious Forward Group
Seer also operates Blitz, a growth marketing agency established in 2020[11], and the investment management firm Conscious Forward Group since 2021.[12]
Personal life
Seer is of Australian and German background and currently lives in Melbourne.[1]
