Barlow Moor, was an electoral division of Manchester City Council which was represented from 1950 until 2004. It covered the suburb of Barlow Moor, as well as parts of Didsbury and Chorlton-cum-Hardy.

Overview

Barlow Moor ward was created in 1950,[1] covering the western portion of the former Didsbury ward, which included Barlow Moor. In 1971,[2] the ward underwent minor boundary changes, and was left unchanged by a further city-wide boundary revision in 1982.[3] In 2004, the ward was abolished, and its remaining area was divided between the new Chorlton Park and Didsbury West wards.[4]

From 1950 until 1955, the ward formed part of the Manchester Wythenshawe Parliamentary constituency.[5][6] From 1955 until its abolition, it was part of the Manchester Withington Parliamentary constituency.
