Bănița (Hungarian: Banica, German: Bansdorf) is a commune in Hunedoara County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Bănița, Crivadia (Krivádia), and Merișor (Merisor).

The Grădiștea Muncelului-Cioclovina Natural Park is partly located on the territory of the commune.
