The series is hosted by Brianna "Bri" Morales and features a mix of celebrity interviews and man-on-the-street-style content. The show launched in 2024 under NowThis Editor-in-Chief Michael Vito Valentino as part of the company's rebrand toward Gen Z-focused original programming.[1]
Format
Each episode features Morales interviewing celebrities, internet personalities, and everyday people, asking candid and often humorous questions. The series has been described as blending celebrity interviews with creator-style content, combining personal stories, cheeky questions, and comedic honesty. Notable guests have included Lizzo, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and various reality television personalities.[2]

The series is distributed across NowThis's social media platforms, with dedicated accounts on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, and Facebook under the handle @areyouokayshow. As of 2026, the show's TikTok account has over 568,000 followers and 35.7 million likes.[3]
Live show
In 2025, NowThis expanded the franchise with Are You Okay? Live!, a touring live show. The live series brings personal stories and comedic interviews to the stage. Performances have been held at venues including the Laugh Factory in Chicago and Los Angeles.[4][5]
Production
The show was created after Michael Vito Valentino joined NowThis as Editor-in-Chief in September 2024. According to Morales, Valentino envisioned a personality-driven, host-and-guest focused show to help NowThis stand out in the digital media space. [6]
