Anzac Reunion

Anzac Reunion is a 1937 Australian play by Edgar George Holt.[1]

It was published in Best Australian One-Act Plays.[2][3] Holt wrote the play expressly for the collection.[4]

The West Australian called it "probably better stage material than printed matter."[5] The Bulletin called it "a sound piece of dramatic construction and an effective emotional protest against the horrors of slaughter. Like most anti-war plays it overlooks the fact that it is the so-called peace that needs exhibiting on the pen-point —but that, of course, would call for super-Shavian wit."[6]

The Guardian claimed the play "should be performed by all peace societies."[7] The play was also warmly reviewed in The Observer which claimed the play was one of the best of the collection.[8]
