Anna Szél

Anna Szél (born 13 August 2001) is a Hungarian freestyle wrestler.^[1]

Szél won the silver medal in the girls' freestyle 57 kg event at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.^[2] In the same year, she also won the silver medal at the Cadet World Championships and became cadet European champion.^[3]

In 2019, Szél won the silver medal at the European Junior Championships.^[4]

She later competed at the individual 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup, where she finished in twelfth place.^[5]

In 2021, she won the bronze medal at the 2021 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade in the women's freestyle 59 kg category.^[6] In the same year, she also won another silver medal at the European Junior Championships.^[7]

At the 2022 World Wrestling Championships, Szél placed ninth.^[8]

In 2023, she won the gold medal at the 2023 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Bucharest in the women's freestyle 57 kg event.^[9] Later that year, she finished ninth at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships.^[10]

Over the course of her junior and under-23 career, Szél won medals at the Youth Olympics, Cadet World Championships, European Junior Championships, U23 World Championships and European U23 Championships.^[11]
