Andrew Tynes (born 13 February 1972) is a retired Bahamian sprinter who specialized in the 200 metres.

Biography

Tynes was an NCAA champion sprinter for the UTEP Miners track and field team, winning the 200 m at the 1994 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.[1][2]

He won gold medals at the 1993 Central American and Caribbean Games and the 1993 Central American and Caribbean Championships, and a silver medal at the 1995 Pan American Games.

His personal best time was 20.22 seconds, achieved in April 1993 in El Paso, Texas. Tynes also co-holds the Bahamian record in the 4 x 100 metres relay, achieved with teammates Renward Wells, Dominic Demeritte and Iram Lewis.[3]
