Andrew James Stewart (born 1971) is a Professor of Cognitive Science[3][4] and Head of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester.[1][5][6]

Education

Stewart was educated at the University of Glasgow where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994 and his PhD degree in 1998, in Psychology supervised by Martin Pickering.[7][8]

Career and research

Stewart's research interests are in cognitive science, open research and data visualisation.[1][5][9]

Stewart is the Open and Reproducible Research Lead at the University of Manchester.[10] and a member of the eScience Lab and the Human Computer Systems Group. He is also a Fellow of the Software Sustainability Institute (SSI).[11][6]
