Amblymelanoplia punctata is a species of beetle of the family Scarabaeidae.[1] It is found in South Africa (Western Cape).[2][3]
Description
Adults reach a length of about 9.6 mm. They are dull black. The clypeus has black setae, while these setae are brown on the head. The pronotum has brown setae and dark-brown setae on anterior and lateral margins. The elytra have brown setae.[3]
Etymology
The species name is derived from Latin punctat (meaning marked with punctures) and refers to the uniform punctuation on pronotum.[3]
