Al Hayah (Egyptian Arabic: الحياه) is a free-to-air Egyptian general entertainment television channel. It is owned by United Media Services, and targets viewers across the Middle East and North Africa. The network is headquartered in 6 October city, Egypt.[1]
History
Founded in 2008, Al Hayah is an Egyptian satellite channel broadcasting on Nilesat. It's an entertainment network that airs numerous series, entertainment programs, and talk shows.[2]
The channel was founded by a group of Egyptian businessmen and has two studios: one in 6th of October City and the other in the World Trade Center overlooking the Nile River in Cairo, Egypt.[3][4] The chairman of its board is El-Sayed El-Badawy, an Egyptian businessman and politician, the head of the Wafd Party, who later sold the channel to Egyptian Media Group (now United Media Services) in 2018.[5][6]
