The Agricultural Holdings Act 1948 (11 & 12 Geo. 6. c. 63) was an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom passed by the Labour government of Prime Minister Clement Attlee that consolidated.[1] It provided tenant farmers with security of tenure for life.[2]

Subsequent developments

The whole act was repealed by section 101(1) of, and part I of schedule 15 to, the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986.[4]
