African-American Sound Recordings is a side-project created by Wilbert Gavin Mays, most well known for his rapper alias, Cities Aviv. African-American Sound Recordings creates atmospheric ambient music, using sampling as his main form of music creation alongside live instruments and audio recording,[1] going between both styles of the serene and the industrial. The ambient style would appear in his Cities Aviv album, Cafe Tom Tom, introducing the style alongside keeping the originality that Cities Aviv has.
