Achouak Tekouk (تكوك جميلة أشواق; born 1 August 2003) is an Algerian freestyle wrestler. She won silver medals at the 2023 African Wrestling Championships and the 2025 African Wrestling Championships.[1][2]
Career
Tekouk won silver medals in both the cadet 53 kg division and the junior 55 kg division at the 2020 African Wrestling Championships held in Algiers.[3][4]
In 2023, she won the silver medal in the senior women's freestyle 55 kg event at the 2023 African Wrestling Championships in Hammamet, losing in the final to Nigeria's Bukola Adekoye. She also won silver in the junior competition in the same weight class.[5][6]
In 2025, Tekouk won another silver medal at the 2025 African Wrestling Championships in Casablanca in the women's freestyle 55 kg category.[7] Later that year, she won the bronze medal in the women's freestyle 57 kg event at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh. UWW match records show that she defeated Veronica Ayo and Yusma Deswita during the tournament and finished third overall.[8]
