Ablaze Football Club

Ablaze Football Club, commonly known as Ablaze FC, is a Nigerian football club and youth football academy based in Nigeria. Founded in 2013, the club operates through Ablaze Football Academy and is involved in grassroots football development and youth talent identification. Ablaze FC has competed in the Nationwide League One (NLO), one of the lower-tier leagues in Nigerian football.[1]

History

Ablaze FC was founded in 2013 by Samuel Oluwafisoye Osho as part of a grassroots football development initiative in Nigeria. The club runs developmental and competitive football programmes through Ablaze Football Academy.

The club has participated in youth tournaments and developmental competitions in Nigeria. In 2023, Ablaze FC drew media attention ahead of its debut campaign in the Nationwide League One following a sponsorship announcement involving Milo.[2][3][4]

Bayern Youth Cup

Ablaze Football Academy won the Nigerian edition of the FC Bayern Youth Cup in 2018 after defeating Abuja Sporting Dreams in the final in Abuja.

In 2025, the academy again won the Nigerian edition of the competition, defeating Inspire Sports Academy in the final.

The FC Bayern Youth Cup is an international youth football tournament organised by German club Bayern Munich, with national winners from participating countries advancing to international activities linked to the competition.[5][6][7]

Academy

Ablaze Football Academy is the youth development arm of Ablaze FC. The academy focuses on the training and development of young footballers through grassroots competitions and organised coaching programmes.

Players associated with the academy have received invitations to Nigerian youth national team camps. One of its players, Olaleke Jeremiah, was named in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.[8][1][2]
