Abhishek Bajaj (born 24 October 1992) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films and television.[1] He made his film debut with Student of the Year 2 (2019) under Dharma Productions.[2] Bajaj gained recognition for his roles in films like Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021), and Babli Bouncer (2022). In 2025, he participated as a contestant on Colors TV's reality show Bigg Boss 19.[3]

Early life

Abhishek was born in New Delhi, India, to Parveen (Japanese interpreter) and Anita Bajaj.[4] He has two sisters named Ekta and Ambika Bajaj. He belongs to a Punjabi family.[5] He completed his schooling in Delhi and graduation from Delhi University, where he also participated in stage plays and modeling shows, which helped develop his interest in acting.[6] He auditioned for a commercial and was selected. [7]

Career

He began his career as a model before transitioning to television. He made his acting debut with Sony Entertainment Television's Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi (2011) and gained recognition for his role as Rahul in Dil De Ke Dekho (Sab TV). He has appeared in shows such as Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chabhi Meri Bhabhi, Bitti Business Wali, Silsila Pyaar Ka and Zindagi Ke Crossroads.[8] In 2011, he appeared in the Pepsi TVC ‘Le Lunga.’ This was followed in 2013 by another popular Pepsi IPL TVC, where he shared screen space with Ranbir Kapoor, portraying a general character that highlighted his youthful energy during the Indian Premier League season. And in 2015, he appeared in another ad of Pepsi, In 2016, he landed a recurring role of Spunky Narula in the web series "Life Lafde Aur Bandiyan" which aired on Bindas. In 2018, He walked as a showstopper for Anu Ranjan's "BeWithBeti" fashion show in Pune, supporting the cause. A year later, he won his first fitness award, being named Inspiring Fitness Celebrity at the Inspire India Summit.

He made his film debut with a supporting role in Karan Johar's teen drama Student of the Year 2 (2019), playing Abhishek Sharma (A captain of Pishorilal College team),[9] and also appeared in the web series Boys With Toys, co-starring Vivaan Shah and Zoya Afroz, was released on an OTT platform. This was followed by the films Kabaad: The Coin[10], Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and web series Your Honor in 2021. In the same year in December, He appeared on the magazine cover of Entitle Magazine.[11] In 2022, He starred in the movie Babli Bouncer, [12] did five ads campaign for Muscleblaze Vite Daily multivitamin, Dr Morepan Health Muscle Food 100% Whey Protein, Muscle Blaze Fit and BGreen plant protein, also menswear ad for Marks and Spencer (M&S) India.[13] A year later, He did an ads campaign for Gillete india. In 2024, He appeared in a music video "Dooriyan" opposite actress Zaara Yesmin, [14] landed a web series "Nama Cool" as UP Character Chakku Pandey,[15] and starred as Ayaan Grover in the television drama "Jubilee Talkies – Shohrat Shiddat Mohabbat".[16]

In early 2025, He walked as a showstopper for designer Alok Agarwal Jaipur Couture Show. In August 2025, he joined Colors TV's reality show Bigg Boss season 19 as a contestant, but was eliminated after a single fellow contestant voted him out rather than through audience voting, finishing in 11th place.[17] Despite his early exit, his gameplay and instincts in the house were praised by media commentators, and he became one of the most talked-about contestants.[18] During the Family Week episodes, Bajaj received significant support both inside and outside the house. Media reports noted that contestants’ family members expressed admiration for his gameplay and described him as a strong contender who should have remained in the competition longer.[19][20] According to Filmibeat, he created history by becoming the first contestant ever to trend in Top-5 worldwide on X better known as Twitter following his eviction from the show. [21] Following his eviction, in December 2025, he appeared in his first advertisement for the brand Ghar Soaps. During the same month, he was listed among the Top 30 Men of Television 2025, securing the 8th position,[22] and also appeared in his second commercial for Oppo India, promoting the OPPO Find X9 Series.

In January 2026, he collaborated with Pranit More for a rap song promoting Beast Games season 2.[23] In February 2026, He signed with TGB Troop, which manages his brand collaborations and professional appearances. In March, He was recognized as a Fit India Champion at the Fit India Carnival 2026 in Delhi for promoting healthy lifestyles.[24] In the same month, he attended a FEAR Project event at Inorbit Mall Vashi to support endurance athlete Kanthi Dutt and promote the Fit India Movement, a national initiative encouraging physical fitness.[25]

Personal life

In 2019, Bajaj was involved in a car accident and sustained injuries to his hand, requiring 16 stitches. He later resumed his professional commitments.[26]

He was previously married, and the marriage ended in a mutual and amicable divorce after separating in 2020.[27]

He also plays football recreationally and has participated in matches with the "All Stars Football Club (ASFC)", a team of entertainment personalities that plays for charity and exhibition purposes.[28]
