In March 2026, a fireball broke into several fragments over Valley City, an unincorporated community located about 22 miles southwest of Cleveland.[1][2][3] The fireball, measuring about six feet in diameter and weighing about seven tons, was visible in the air in several Canadian provinces, Washington D.C., and 10 U.S. states.[2] The airburst was audible as far as Maryland.[4]
