The next Bangkok gubernatorial election will be held in 5 July 2026.[1] The incumbent Governor of Bangkok is Chadchart Sittipunt, who has announced he will run for re-election.[2]
The People's Party has indicated it will promote candidates for the race.[3] The party was elected all of Bangkok's 33 seats in the House of Representatives in the 2026 Thai general election.[4]

On 25 February 2025, the People's Party launched Hackable Bangkok 2026, its campaign to elect progressive politicians in the 2026 elections.[3] Party leader Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut underscored the achievements of People's Party city councillors from Phra Khanong and Thawee Wattana districts.[1]
Bangkok MP Nattacha Boonchaiinsawat, who oversees the People's Party election strategy, has announced a campaign to tackle air pollution, which has been a persistent issue in Bangkok.[5]
