The 2025–26 UMBC Retrievers women's basketball team currently represents the University of Maryland, Baltimore County during the 2025–26 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Retrievers, led by secnd-year head coach Candice Hill, play their home games at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Catonsville, Maryland as members of the America East Conference.

Previous season

Under first-year head coach Candice Hill, who replaced coach Johnetta Hayes after 4 seasons with the program, the Retrievers finished the season 14–15 and 7–9 in America East play, tying with Binghamton. They clinched the No. 7 seed in the America East tournament, losing to Albany in the semifinals.
