Rankings from AP poll

The 2025–26 Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team represented Kansas State University in the 2025–26 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, their 123rd basketball season. The Wildcats were led by interim head coach Matthew Driscoll and played their home games in Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas as members of the Big 12 Conference.

Kansas State fired head coach Jerome Tang on February 15, 2026 after a 10–16, 1–11 in conference start.[1] Assistant coach Matthew Driscoll was named the interim head coach.[2] The school announced that Tang had been fired for cause, looking to avoid paying him a buyout pursuant to the terms of his contract.[3]

Previous season

The Wildcats finished the 2024–25 season 16–17, 9–11 in Big 12 play to finish a tie for ninth place.[4] As the No. 10 seed in the Big 12 tournament, they defeated Arizona State in the first round[5] before losing to Baylor in the second round.[6]
