Rankings from AP Poll

The 2025–26 Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball season began with practices in October 2025, followed by the start of the 2025–26 NCAA Division I women's basketball season in November. Conference play started in December 2025 and ended on March 1, 2026. After the regular season, the 2026 ACC women's basketball tournament was held at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia.[2]

Duke finished as regular season champions with a 16–2 regular season record. Hannah Hidalgo from Notre Dame finished as the league's leading scorer in the regular season and was selected as ACC Player of the Year. Duke was the top seed in the 2026 ACC women's basketball tournament, and defeated second-seed Louisville in overtime in the Final.[3]

Head coaches

Coaching changes

  • After the 2024–25 season, on March 31, 2025, Georgia Tech head coach Nell Fortner announced her retirement after six years as head coach.[4] Karen Blair was announced as her replacement on April 6, 2025.[5]
