The 2021 Maldives local elections were held on 10 April 2021 to elect members of Local Councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) across the Maldives. These elections were originally scheduled for April 2020, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the amended election laws, the vote was rescheduled for April 2021.[1]
