Ľutina is a village and municipality in Sabinov District in the Prešov Region of north-eastern Slovakia.

Etymology

The name comes from Slavic ľutъ: wild, malicious (the name of the stream Ľutinka/Ľutina that runs through the village).[4]

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1330.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 429 metres (1,407 ft)[3] and covers an area of 6.91 km2 (2.67 sq mi) (2024).[5]
