Ömer Halis Recep (born 13 May 1999) is a Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler who competes in the 55 kg division.[1][2]

Career

Recep won the bronze medal at the 2021 Dan Kolov – Nikola Petrov Tournament in the men's Greco-Roman 55 kg event.[3]

At the 2024 World Wrestling Championships, he finished tenth in the men's Greco-Roman 55 kg category.[4]

In January 2026, he won the gold medal at the 2026 Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan Tournament in Antalya in the 55 kg division.[5] In February 2026, he won the bronze medal at the 2026 Grand Prix Zagreb Open held in Zagreb, Croatia. After losing his opening bout to Uzbekistan's Ikhtiyor Botirov, he advanced to repechage when Botirov reached the final. Recep then pinned Georgia's Koba Karumidze and defeated Kazakhstan's Arsen Zhuma 8–0 by technical superiority in the bronze medal match.[6][7]
